Feeling a little nostalgic for New York at the moment.
I've been flicking through my photos from my holiday there last year (you can check some more of them out here and here) and am wishing I was right back there, eating all that gorgeous food, walking down the streets and popping into some of the amazing vintage and home ware shops located on every corner.

Unfortunately my budget at the moment doesn't allow me to jump on the next plane out of here, but it does stretch to a visit to the local deli to pick up some much craved ingredients.
Pastrami and Potato Salad Sandwich
One of my girlfriends re-introduced me to this winner of a sandwich combination and whenever I eat it, or think about it for that matter, I'm immediately transported to one of those old Italian delis you find in New York.
It also conjours up pictures of a scene from the movie When Harry Met Sally which was filmed in Katz's Deli located in the East Village of New York (I've been there!), where Sally munches on a pastrami sandwich and a side order of potato salad while showing Harry how women can 'fake it'.....remember the scene or am I the only 80's movie fanatic?
